border-box;">首届世界残疾人跆拳道锦标赛于2009年举行，此后还举办了五次。在第十届世界青年轮椅运动会上，残疾人跆拳道作为展示运动出场，在2015年的世界轮椅运动会上，kyorugi（竞技）这一形式被列为正式比赛项目。</p><p style="text-indent: 2em;white-space: normal;box-sizing: border-box;"><br border-box;">随后，poomsae（品势）这一形式也获得发展。poomsae（品势）从2013年起步，由神经类疾病、存在智力缺陷或者视障的运动员参加。在2015年以前，在国际智力障碍体育组织INAS的该项目大师列表中，只有两位选手，但到2015年年末，人数已增长到24人。</p><p style="text-indent: 2em;white-space:
